Shareefa Jennings on Continuous Learning & the UK’s New Hairdressing Training Guidelines
Following up on our recent conversation with Advanced Healing Artist for L'ANZA and Salon Centric influencer Christopher Aaron, we turn our eyes to the UK, where, in a long-overdue change, the National Occupational Standards (NOS) for Hairdressing have now been updated to include mandatory training in cutting and styling of afro and textured hair.
Featuring haircare specialist and co-founder of Cognito Hair in London, this week's episode explores Shareefa Jennings' journey in the salon industry, her thoughts on the announcement of the new standards, as well as what she deems necessary for growth both as a hairdresser and salon owner, inclusiveness and exceptional client care.
