[234] It’s 2004. Phorest’s Founder & CEO Ronan Perceval is hunched underneath the salon reception desk, troubleshooting a hardware issue in the first infant version of Phorest’s Software.
“I wondered if I would ever truly delight the salon owner waiting in front of me. I can barely remember what else happened that day, but I remember this very clearly. It was my goal to make sure that everything in her growing business was working smoothly and I knew if I got it right, together we could bring more revenue in through her door.”
Of course, we now know that he did. Fast forward to 2022, and Phorest has become a global success story with over 8,500 businesses using its products and services. With each new business that joins, Phorest is inspired to be better.

[225] There are many industry awards out there, but nothing is more important than what your clients think. We are an industry driven by referrals, and no matter how good you are at selling your business, word-of-mouth will always have a unique power. And as the pandemic has migrated a serious amount of our social life online, online reviews have become a staple in our culture. In fact, according to BrightLocal's research, the average consumer reads ten reviews before feeling able to trust a business, and 73% of consumers only pay attention to reviews written in the last month.
Hence, this week we'll be discussing ways to earn and leverage award-worthy reviews with former Community Manager North America Paige Janiszewski, who will also share insights on the Client Experience Award 2021 and one of the industry's most advanced automation tools: Phorest's Online Reputation Manager.
